George F. Lutz Sr., 83, of Shenango Twp. passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness.
Born April 7, 1943, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John L. and Lorena Gifford Lutz.
George worked in maintenance at Calgon until his retirement. He accepted the Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade and attended the Park Gate Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, woodworking, and crafting beautiful German origami stars. His most cherished moments were spent with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Carolyn Sent George Lutz; two daughters, Carolyn (Don) Fisher of North Sewickley and Sharon Lutz of Shenango Twp.; son, George F. (Tracy) Lutz Jr. of Rimersburg, PA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Per George’s wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Life Lawrence County especially Janet, Karen, and Chuck who gave George their utmost care.
