Donald Dennis Rebich (born March 8, 1936), only child of Metro and Gazella Rebich of Aliquippa, PA and Georgia Marie (Cello) Rebich (born October 9, 1939), oldest daughter of George and Mary Cello of Elwood City, PA enjoyed 57 years of marriage and life together until Don’s passing on August 27, 2022 in Ocala, FL. For the next three years, Georgia resided in Houston, TX until she passed away on October 12, 2025.
Don and Georgia were married on June 5, 1965 in Koppell, PA. They made their first home in Ellwood City across from the football field at Ewing Park. Don worked in the steel mills and Georgia worked as a secretary in the early years. They loved to play golf together and go out and have a good time. They had friends wherever they went. Don and Georgia became parents in 1970 with the arrival of Jarrod Michael on December 18, 1970. Georgia and Don loved fondly recalling the story of picking him up from the hospital and bringing him home on Christmas Eve to a house full of people, bottles flowing, and happiness filling their home. Don and Georgia loved being parents and had so much love to give, they extended their love to Christopher Ryan born December 16, 1972. More than anything, Don and Georgia loved their sons and strived to give them the world. Throughout the years, they made homes in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oklahoma, eventually settling in Houston where Don worked for several electronics and tech companies, eventually ending up as Operations Manager at Servcomp with his brother-in-law Bob (Cathy), ultimately running the company until his retirement in 2004. Throughout the years Georgia worked in the hospitality industry, spreading joy wherever people were there to receive it.
Don and Georgia loved golf, travel, their puppies, and their grandson Holden. Don was an avid fan and lover of all Pittsburgh sports including his alma mater, Pitt. His Terrible Towel moved with him everywhere he lived and will be passed along to his grandson, keeping the spirit alive. Don loved searching for a bargain and prided himself on getting the best deals around. He was always ready to take action when a loved one needed help. Above all, Don loved his puppies – Mitzi, Rudy, Molly, Maisie, and Zippy. Georgia was a caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she met and never knew a stranger to cross her path. She enjoyed reading, listening to people’s stories, connecting with others, golf, collecting seashells, and listening to her grandson play the viola. Georgia’s favorite song was from the movie soundtrack Out of Africa.
Don and Georgia retired to Ocala, FL in 2005. They spent their retirement years traveling and going on cruises, playing golf, and enjoying their puppies and grandson. Their favorite place was Sanibel Island where they made nearly 50 years of happy memories. Always together and true partners in life, Georgia stayed by Don’s side in the hospital playing polka music and Charley Pride songs spending quiet time together until the very end. After Don’s passing, Georgia relocated to Houston, spending time with Jarrod (Kim) and long-time family friend, Jen. Georgia spent time visiting and hosting Chris and her grandson Holden and his mother, Nicole.
Don and Georgia were both preceded in death by their parents and brother-in-law Bob Munkatchy. They are survived by Georgia’s sister Cathy Munkatchy, son Jarrod Rebich, daughter-in-law Kim Wittmer, son Christopher Rebich, grandson Holden Rebich, grandson’s mother Nicole Filloon, and friend Jennifer Morrill.
A Graveside Services will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the Mausoleum of Locust Grove Cemetery, with Deacon Joe Ross, officiating.
Don and Georgia will be laid to rest together at Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.
