Calling All Local Talent: The 4th Annual “New Wilmington’s Got Talent” Competition Returns!

Get ready for an unforgettable night as the 4th Annual New Wilmington’s Got Talent competition returns to the heart of New Wilmington!

This highly anticipated event invites local youth (ages 21 and under) to showcase their musical talents, comedic chops, and unique skills on stage. Whether you’re a solo artist, a duo, or part of a group, we want to see what you’ve got!

Join us on Sunday, August 23, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Admiral Robert Shumaker Borough Park Amphitheater for an evening brimming with excitement, community spirit, and of course, incredible performances. This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone, making it the perfect way to support and celebrate the homegrown talent in our area.

Inspired by America’s Got Talent, the competition will feature a panel of local “celebrity” judges who will score performances based on creativity, skill, and stage presence. Contestants will compete for cash prizes, including a $250 grand prize, and the audience will vote for the coveted “Fan Favorite” award.

Interested performers can sign up online at https://livenewwilmington.com/youth-unplugged/. Early registration is encouraged, with priority given to those who register by August 15.

Preference will be given to students who live in the local area and students currently enrolled at Westminster College, although all eligible youth are welcome to apply.

Last year’s winners Violet Horodyski and Reese McDade from Pulaski (pictured right, both age 10 at the time) performed an interpretation of the song “Popular” from Wicked.

New Wilmington’s Got Talent is proudly presented by the New Wilmington Economic Development Corporation (EDCOM) Amphitheater Committee and organized by the Youth Unplugged Committee, a dynamic group of local teens dedicated to giving young performers a platform to shine.
