Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of July 13th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

BOOK SALE COLLECTION:

We are now taking donations for the book sale in October. We do not take text books, readers digest condensed books, magazines, encyclopedias or VHS tapes.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, JULY 13

• 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

TUESDAY, JULY 14

• 10:15 a.m. – “Jumpstart to Kindergarten,” for children starting kindergarten in the fall.
• 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
• 1:15 p.m. – “Dino Days for Kindergarten – 2nd grade”
• 2:30 p.m. – “Choose Your Own Book Club,” for grades 3rd – 5th. Pick your own book then do planned activities while eating snacks.
• 6:00 p.m. – “Fossil Presentation,” Alex Gladis will do a program on fossils.
• 7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Lost Book Shop” by Evie Woods on Zoom.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 15

• 10:15 a.m. – “Dino Days for 3rd – 4th grade”
• 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
• 1:15 p.m. – Dino Days 5th & Up”
• 6:00 p.m. – “America’s Birthday Party!” Rob Brough will do a presentation on America’s history and we will have cake.

THURSDAY, JULY 16

• 10:30 a.m. – “Music & Movement,” all ages and abilities invited to do singing and dancing to different dinosaur songs.
• 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
• 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – “Family Game Night,” Play games with our games or ones you choose to bring. We partner with Sidetracks Board Game Group.

FRIDAY, JULY 17

• 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own supplies or use ours.
• 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” work on your own individual projects while socializing with other knitters.

SAVE THE DATE.

July 29th 6:00 p.m. – End of Summer Party with Steve the Magician.

August 8th 4:30p.m. – 7:30p.m. – The 4th Annual Wine Walk. Local wines, craft beers and spirits paired with your favorite restaurants and food vendors. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite and at the Library. $25 for one ticket. Two for $45 and six for $125.
