Veda Mae Michaels, 95, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Townview Rehabilitation Center in Cannonsburg. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Alice Mae (Dambaugh) Snyder and was born August 28, 1929, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her children; Gary Michaels of Ellwood City, Ronald Michaels and his wife Kim of Ellwood City, Bonnie Funari of Beaver Falls, her grandchildren; Amanda Funari of West Chester, PA, Seth Michaels and his wife Melissa of Ellwood City, great-grandchildren; Makenzie, Connor, and Austin Michaels, her sister; Virginia Snyder of Ellwood City, and two nieces; Linda Hilliard Beegle and her husband of Tod of Patterson Twp, Patricia Scheidemantle and her husband Bruce of Ellwood City.
Veda was a 1947 graduate of Lincoln High School. She married Warren A. Michaels on December 8, 1950, and they had 3 children. She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Charles Carnahan and was also a typist. She was also a cafeteria worker at Marion Elementary School in Fombell. She and her family attended Wiley Hill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Church Clerk, a Deaconess, and was part of the Lady’s Group. She was also involved in the Girl Scouts for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Warren Michaels and her son-in-law; Anthony Funari.
Friends can call on the family at Turner-Hyde Funeral Home of Ellwood City on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4pm-6:00pm with a 6:00 Funeral Service, with Pastor Thomas Betlyn officiating.
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the TURNER-HYDE FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
