Lincoln High School to Present Little Shop of Horrors
A talented cast and crew of students from grades 7–12 have been hard at work bringing this exciting production to life. Under the direction of Alexis Reisinger, students have dedicated countless hours to rehearsals, choreography, and technical preparation to create a production that blends humor, heart, and a touch of dark comedy.
Featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics and book by Howard Ashman, Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of Seymour Krelborn, a timid floral assistant working in a struggling flower shop on Skid Row. When Seymour discovers a strange and unusual plant after a total eclipse of the sun, he names it Audrey II after his coworker crush. What begins as a stroke of good fortune quickly spirals into chaos as the mysterious plant grows — and develops a rather unusual appetite. Packed with catchy songs, quirky characters, and plenty of laughs, this sci-fi musical comedy explores themes of ambition, love, and the consequences of getting exactly what you wish for.
With its unforgettable doo-wop–inspired score and over-the-top humor, Little Shop of Horrors is sure to be a crowd-pleasing event for the entire community.
