Marsha E. Timblin, of New Castle, PA and Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1st, 2025, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Born on July 2nd, 1943, Marsha was the daughter of the late George N. Thornhill and Maryland E. Thornhill (Neff). She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961, earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), and later received her Master of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of New York at Buffalo.
Marsha dedicated many years of service as a speech therapist with the Beaver County Intermediate Unit, where she made a lasting impact on countless lives. She found joy in reading, needlework, boating on Lake Arthur often spending time with her many friends and family, and actively supporting her nieces and nephews in their activities.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Chuck” Timblin, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years. Together, they co-founded the Carpenters Project in Ellwood City, a mission Marsha continued to support passionately each summer. While in Florida she was actively involved in many faith based projects through the Cocoa Beach Community Church.
Marsha is lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Lou Ann and Paul Sutter of Pittsburgh, their children Joshua and Liz Sutter of Aurora, OH, and their children Ben, Sam, and Chloe, Megan and Geoff Straub of Pittsburgh, and their children Abby and Brody, Chuck’s nephew, Jim West (Sheri) and family of West Virginia, and sister-in-law Sally Iseman and daughter Connie.
Memorial Service will take place Saturday, October 25th, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. and celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 615 Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
