Wolverine golfer Alex Lin fired a low round of 34 Thursday afternoon at Connoqunessing Country Club to lead the visiting Ellwood City boys golf team to a 191-222 victory over rival Riverside.
Lin was among a cavalry of Ellwood City golfers who shot sub-40 in the victory.
Jaxon Rozanski (35) and Jordan Keller (39) joined Lin with strong rounds for Ellwood City.
Gino Biondi finished with a round of 41 and Nate Kennedy fired a round of 42 to round out the scoring for Ellwood City.
Tony Chill shot a team-low round of 40 for Riverside in defeat. Tyler Holsinger and Dylan Meyer posted rounds of 42 for the Panthers.
Ellwood City improves to 11-1 on the regular season and will set focus to a rematch against section-leading Neshannock on Monday. The teams will match-up at Delmar Golf Course at 3:15 p.m. Neshannock gave Ellwood City its lone defeat back in August at Castle Hills GC.
