Volunteers from the Loyal Order of the Moose #93, Word Alive Church and Divine Grace Church, who also provided the space, provided a warm breakfast Sunday morning July 27th at the local Catholic Center for all service members.
“Our administration Bill Balin came up with the idea to do something for the staff of the IRT event,” said Conny Gallenz of the Moose Club. “We expected and hosted over 100 military personnel.”
The Moose contacted various local businesses and reached out to the community via social media and its website for donations.
“We were very lucky to receive donations from local residents as well as businesses,” said Gallenz.
The event provided a warm breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes along with coffee & juice, pastries, bread & bagels for those in attendance.
Two IRT staff volunteers who spontaneously offered their help according to Gallenz.
A pastor from the Word Alive Church provided a Devotional at the beginning of the event.
