Borough officials issued a notice Thursday to remind residents about property maintenance regulations.
Sanitation: All exterior property and premises should be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.
Weeds: Weeds and grass are not permitted to grow in excess of six inches. Note: Grass trimmings cannot be discarded onto the road or in storm sewers.
Rodent Harborage: All property must be kept free from rodent harborage and infestation. When rodents are found, they should be exterminated by an approved process and proper precautions taken to prevent re-infestation.
Accessory Structures: All accessory structures, including but not limited to, detached garages, fences and walls should be structurally sound and in good repair.
Exterior vehicles: Except as provided for in other regulations, no inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be kept on any premises and no vehicle shall be in a state of major disassembly. Painting of vehicles is prohibited unless conducted inside an approved spray booth.
Swimming Pools: Swimming pools shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
Exterior Structure: The exterior of a structure shall be maintained in good repair and remain structurally sound.
Rubbish and Garbage: All exterior property and the interior of every structure, should be free of accumulation of rubbish or garbage.
Street Names and Signs: Property owners are required to post and maintain address numbers at all times.
Penalties: Any violation that results in charges filed against the resident or property owner may result in fines and penalties.
