Lenore A. Ewing, 79

Lenore Ann Ewing,79, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Donald Leroy and Lucille (Hennon) Rentz and was born in Annandale, Pa on February 19, 1945.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years; Robert Howard “Bob” Ewing of Ellwood City, her children; Robert ”Bobby” Ewing and his wife Stephanie “Missy” of Ellwood City, Jodi Gurgiolo and her husband Daniel of Edinburg, her grandchildren; Brooke Shannon Ewing and her husband Christian Kegel of Ellwood City, Beau Robert Garroway Ewing, Marcus Daniel Gurgiolo, and Rachel Marie Gurgiolo and one great-grandson Crew Cartwright Kegel, and one brother David Rentz and his wife Jan of Pittsburgh.

She was a 1963 graduate of Moniteau High School. She married the love of her life Robert Ewing May 1, 1965. She was a cafeteria worker for over 30 years with the Ellwood City School District. She had a musical ear and played the organ and piano. She also loved music and dancing, and she was a great cook. She and Bob were long time members of Ellwood City Free Methodist. Lenore always lived life to the fullest. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Friends may call on the family at the Turner-Hyde Funeral & Cremation Services located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 3:00PM-6:00PM with a Funeral Service beginning 6:00PM.

The family would like to thank Three Rivers Hospice for their continual caring and compassion during this difficult time.

  1. Bobby, I am so sorry for your loss. Upon seeing this, my heart broke for you. I remember her from the Lincoln High School cafeteria. She was a lovely lady, and I know that she will be missed by many. You and your family are in my prayers for God to give you the strength to face tomorrow and cherish the memories you hold in your heart
