John W. “Bill” Keul, 94

John William “Bill” Keul, 94, of North Sewickley Twp passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at St. John Community Care in Mars. He was the son of the late John, Jr and Margaret (Nagel) Keul and was born January 9, 1930, in Mount Oliver, Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Chrobak Keul, his daughter; Jean Marie K. Householder and her husband David of North Sewickley Twp, his grandchildren; Devin Tyler Householder and his wife Lauren, Hillary Anne Burkett and her husband John.
He was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School where he was on the gymnastics teams. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army and served proudly from November 1951-October 1953. He was a longtime employee of Verizon and was a phone installer and linesman and he retired in 1985 after 32 years of service. He married his wife Marie in June 1958. Bill and Marie were longtime members of Providence Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and Sunday School Superintendent as well as various other positions. He also enjoyed trapping and hunting in his younger years. He loved gardening and his fruit orchards which he generously shared his harvests with family and friends. Bill’s family will always remember his love of the outdoors, wildlife, and his ability to tell lively stories about his past adventures.
He was preceded in death by his brother Norman Stephen and his sister RoseMarie Wiley.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00AM-11:30AM at Turner-Hyde Funeral & Cremation Services. Per his families wishes, Funeral Services will be private.
