William E. Gillespie, 68, of Grove City, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 after a brief illness. Bill was born in New Brighton, PA on February 21, 1956 to William K. and Olive Mae (Balderson) Gillespie.
Bill attended North Liberty Presbyterian Church and Grace Community Church. He was an ordained deacon, and a youth ministry leader. Bill was a volunteer fire fighter at North Sewickley Fire Department and worked as a contractor in woodworking and restoration.
Surviving are his two daughters, Amanda Gillespie and Megan (Gary) Williams all of North Sewickley Twp., PA; two sisters, Susan Black in Grove City, PA and Barbara (Thomas) Linko in New Brighton, PA; as well as four grandchildren, Jonny, Olivia, and Elizabeth Williams and Jonas Gillespie.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Paul R. Black.
A Celebration of Life will be at North Liberty Presbyterian Church, 209 N. Liberty Plain Grove Road, Grove City, PA 16127 on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerry A. Mahaffey, Pastor Emeritus officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
