Norma Jean Carothers of Florence Kentucky, (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary Jane Bathgate Tritt.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Carothers of 56 years, her son Eric Carothers, and brother Gilbert Tritt.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Karen Carothers of Walton, Kentucky, daughter-in-law, Heather Carothers of Grove City; sister Mary Jane LeRoy of Ellwood City, and her sister-in-law JoAnn Tritt of Katie TX.
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Brian and wife Kristin Carothers of Nashville Tennessee. Lauren Carothers of Orlando Florida. Catherine Carothers of Orlando Florida. Jenna Carothers of Nashville Tennessee, and Jon Carothers of Seattle Washington, and great-granddaughter Callie Anne Carothers of Nashville Tennessee.
Norma loved her family dearly. She enjoyed American History, the music of the 50s and 60s, and telling stories about her hometown and her beloved “West End”.
There will be a private burial at Locust Grove Cemetery for close friends and family. Arrangements entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
