Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of September 30th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

  • 1:00 -3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1

  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2

  • 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” will be discussing the book “When you Trap a Tiger” by Tae Keller.
  • 6:00 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “Hang the Moon” by Jeannette Walls.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3

  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4

  • 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a program to come and relax and relieve anxiety as you create a beautiful picture.
  • 12:30 – 2:30 – “Knitting for Adults,” you can work on individual projects or get advice from other Knitters.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

  • 10:00 a.m. – “Reading Buddies,” the dogs are back for another season of reading.
  • 10:45-11:45 a.m. – “STEAM” An animal experience with creepers and crawlers.
  • Noon – “Bookworms Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Gollywhopper Games” by Jody Feldman.

The Library is collecting good, clean condition books for the book sale. We are not accepting Encyclopedias, Readers Digest condensed books, VHS tapes, Text books or Magazines.

SAVE THE DATE

An Art Exhibit will be here at the library Saturday October, 26 at 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. We are having the works of M.C. Esher, Marc Chagall and Takashi Murakami.

Book Sale is back Tuesday October 15th – Saturday October 19th. Tuesday –Friday it is open the library hours. Tuesday is the bake sale. Saturday is $5.00 bag day and it is open until 2:00 p.m.
