Ralph D. “Boogie” Bognoski, 80, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at his residence following a short illness.
Born October 10, 1943 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Chester and Monica Powell Bognoski. He was married to Linda Rambo Bognoski.
Boogie graduated from Lincoln in 1962. Following graduation, he served as a member of the National Guard. He worked as a machine operator for 22 years at B&W before continuing his career at Koppel Steel where he ultimately retired in 2006. Catholic by faith, he was a member of the Chewton Polish White Eagles, enjoyed golfing and gardening, and being part of his Tuesday morning coffee group. Above all, Ralph was a dedicated family man who cherished moments spent with his family especially his grand and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years Linda; two daughters, Tina Bognoski of Wampum and Vicki (Randy) Barger of Bethel Park; three grandsons, Zachary of New Brighton, Matthew (Kelsey) of Ellwood City and Caleb (Jessie) Lucas of North Carolina, and five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Brayden, Nathaniel, Marshall, and Riley Lucas.
Per his request no services will be held.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
