The City of New Castle has partnered with Pyrotecnico and other local businesses to present the 2024 New Castle Fireworks Fest in the city’s downtown on Saturday, July 20, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The night includes local food and drink options, food trucks, live music, and will culminate with a spectacular display as New Castle-based Pyrotecnico is set to light up the sky of The Fireworks Capital of America.
The event is being billed as a block party in the city with activities taking place along South Mercer and East Washington Streets. Attendees are encouraged to park in the City parking garage on Mercer Street or at any of the free lots around town. The fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m. from a location near the southwest bend of the Columbus Interbelt behind the Cascade Galleria.
The focal point for most of the night will be the great talent performing on the main stage located on the corner of South Mercer St. and East Washington St. in the heart of downtown.
East Washington Street from South Mercer to Jefferson Street will host an area for dancing and enjoying music, food trucks, a photo station, as well as a small kid’s zone in front of the ServaxNet building. Pizza Man’s Pizza will sponsor their premium viewing area as the parking lot on the corner of East Washington and Jefferson will be lined with tables for enjoying the delicious food and serve as a viewing area for the night’s fireworks.
The area along South Mercer from East Washington to Neshannock Creek Brewery will serve as the designated area for alcoholic beverages. The area will host four New Castle businesses as well as a game area and tables for gathering and enjoying each other’s company in the parking lot and street.
“We are thrilled to partner with Pyrotecnico to be able to bring this event to downtown New Castle and we are certain this will be another incredible opportunity to showcase our City and area small businesses,” said New Castle City Administrator Chris Frye. “The block party theme is appropriate, and we think the community will be inspired by the energy of the night.”

Live Music (5 p.m. -10 p.m.)
Bring your favorite lawn chair and you will have the best seat in town, yours!
- Grandview Soul: The Mo-Town inspired band will entertain with all your favorite tunes.
- Kut Loose: The 90’s and 2000’s rock band will take the stage downtown and play every song you sing along with in the car!
Local Food (4 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
- Pizza Man’s Pizza: The downtown shop will be open for business and is the sponsor of the best view of the fireworks show as the parking lot on the corner of E Washington and Jefferson St.
- Little Johnny’s II: Our friends at Little Johnny’s II will be serving their famous pies and more in front of the Neshannock Creek Brewery.
- Sinkers & Suds Food Truck: Fresh, warm mini donuts topped to order and coffee awaits you in the Sinkers & Suds truck.
- Sorta Food Truck: Sorta sandwiches, Sorta tacos, it’s the Sorta Truck a twist on your favorite sandwiches.
- Manna Truk: Mesmerizing taste buds, one bite at a time, the Manna Truk will serve your favorite smash burgers.
- Struggle Bus BBQ: High quality BBQ right downtown! The Struggle Bus BBQ will be here to satisfy your cravings.

- Neshannock Creek Brewery: The best brews in The Castle served cold right downtown.

Fireworks (10 p.m.)
- Pyrotecnico: In 1922, Constantino Vitale immigrated to America and brought his talent with him. He set up shop in New Castle and began creating fireworks displays as a business. A legacy was born. New Castle is now known to be the fireworks capital of the United States, the home of those who inspired America’s passion for fireworks shows as symbols of independence on the 4th of July. This year Pyrotecnico will light up the hometown sky as the presenting partner of the 2024 New Castle Fireworks Fest. The Fireworks Fest is a celebration of local businesses with all food and drink offerings coming from area small business owners. Whether you a first-time visitor or a life-long resident, the Fireworks Fest promises to be an experience that will create lasting memories.
