Virginia R. Fosnaught, 94

Virginia R. Fosnaught, 94, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Haven Convalescent Home following an extended illness.

Born April 24, 1930 in Donora, she was the daughter of the late Dorin Huffman and Myrtle Cox. She was married to Charles D. “Chuck” Fosnaught for 49 years when he passed away on July 5, 1996.

Virginia was a member of the 1st Church of God on Euclid Ave. in New Castle, the G.A.R, and the Beaver Falls Elks where she crocheted lap robes for Veteran’s. She was honored by the Beaver Falls Elks as Citizen of the Year. She enjoyed traveling and time spent with her family.

Survivors include three grandsons, Charles (Kristi) and Brent Maggi both of Wampum and Timothy Maggi of Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Rachel, Madeline, Cayden, and Devin Maggi; two sisters, Grace McCarthy of Beaver Falls and Norma Fisher of Ellwood City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Charlotte Maggi; son, Dale Fosnaught; two brothers, Bill and Albert Lauderbaugh, and her sister Margaret Foltz.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Hunley officiating.

Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
