ELLWOOD CITY GOLF:
The Ellwood City golf team was on the short end of a 183-215 defeat the hands of Mohawk on Wednesday at Stonecrest Golf Course.
Mohawk was powered by four rounds under par, including a team low round of 34 by Keigan Hopper.
For Ellwood City, Mitch Covert led the charge Wednesday, finishing with a team low round of 35. Colten Crizer (38) and Jodan Keller (39) joined Cover with sub-40 rounds.
The Wolverines next match is Monday versus rival Riverside at Delmar Golf Course at 3:30 p.m.
ELLWOOD CITY VOLLEYBALL:
The Lady Wolverines collected three victories this week, each straight set victories.
Saturday, Ellwood City dispatched of Union Area 3-0, on Tuesday Ellwood City defeated rival Riverside 3-0, and on Thursday
the Wolverines beat Mohawk 3-0.
The three wins push the season record to 4-1 (2-0 Section) and the team will next step into a tournament at Moon Area High School beginning Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m.

ELLWOOD CITY TENNIS:
The Ellwood City tennis team fell to Sewickley Academy on Tuesday and to Central Valley on Thursday.
Each defeat was in straight sets as the tennis team falls to 1-4 overall and will next play Monday afternoon against rival Riverside. The match is schedule for 3:30 p.m. at Ewing Park courts.
ELLWOOD CITY SOCCER:
The Ellwood City soccer team fell on the road to Beaver on Thursday by a score of 10-0. The soccer team is now 0-3 overall on the young season.
