David L. Cunningham, 74, of Ellport passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Although in ill health, death was unexpected.
Born June 2, 1949 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Raymond G. and Carmel Prestia Cunningham.
For many years, David worked at the Butler Memorial Hospital as a physical therapy assistant. He was an active member of the First Church of God in Ellwood City where he served as a sound/audio tech and as a youth group leader for many years. He enjoyed mission trips, running sound for the Mazzant Family Music, and was active with the Carpenters Project and the Over the Hill Gang. Some of his other interests were tennis, racquetball, skiing, boating, and motorcycles. David enjoyed helping and serving others.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years Connie Kerry Cunningham; son, Eric (Stephanie) Cunningham of DePere, WI; two daughters, Briana (Shawn) Williams of New Castle and Kala Cunningham of Ellwood City; sister, Linda (Robert) Kelly of Sebastian, FL; five grandchildren, Hannah, Grace, Elaina, and Sean Cunningham and Evelyn Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Alan and his niece Keaira Cunningham.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 7, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of God on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am with Pastor John Davis and Pastor Phil Conklin officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Church of God.

I was so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I appreciated all he did for Dad and his working with him. I wish I could be there with you but I will be thinking of you all.

I am so saddened to see this. My prayers will be lifting up the family in the days to come. We shared many wonderful times ministering seeing people come to the Lord and encouraging Christians through music. We so appreciated his hard work and we also had many fun stories. Love to you all.
