Ellwood City Introduces New Permit Parking For Metered Parking Spaces

In a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, the borough will be introducing a new parking permit that will be usable at on-street, metered parking spaces throughout town, excluding handicap spaces.

Upon application for the parking permit, the applicant will pay a $25.00 monthly permit fee.  This new style permit will afford the vehicle owner from having to feed change to the on-street parking meters.

According to the borough, the color-coded parking permit shall be placed so as to be visible through the front windshield of the vehicle. The parking permit shall not be transferable from one vehicle to another. The fee shall be fore each calendar month, beginning on the first day of the month.

To obtain the parking permit, go to the Utility Office in the Ellwood City Municipal Building, located at 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City.

  1. While other communities are eliminating parking meters (and are thriving) Ellwood is going with it’s “anything for a buck” approach!
