Walter Lee Arkwright, 71, of Koppel, passed away on April 13, 2021, at his residence. He was the son of the late Ralph and Viola (Cartner) Arkwright, and was born March 26, 1950 in Gouverneur, NY. He was married to Barbara (Dallies) Arkwright, who sadly passed away in December 2020
Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. For his service he received the Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Award, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. He was discharged in 1971, after 4 years of service to his country. In 1984 he married, the love of his life, Barbara. Walter enjoyed gardening, coin collecting, coloring pictures, Western movies and playing a variety of card games as well as many other with his family. Family road trips always held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his brother; Ralph Arkwright and his wife Betty of Virginia, and his sister; Joy Browning. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Stacy Macri of New Castle, his stepson Gary Davis (Kelly) of Struthers OH, and three grandchildren: Sabrina Macri and Lucas Runyon, both of New Castle, and Brady Davis of Struthers; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert Browning.
A Memorial Service for Walter will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
