Ruth Daisy (Morse) Bosley

Ruth Daisy (Morse) Bosley of Wampum passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born December 8, 1935, in New Wilmington, PA to the late Herbert and Jennie Morse. She was married to Ocey A. Bosley for 43 years, who preceded her in death December 2015.

Ruth is survived by her son Jeffrey (Cassy) Bosley of Martinsburg, WV, son Timothy (Lisa) of Charleston, SC, daughter Kimberly Wetzel of New Castle, PA, nine grandchildren (Cheylynne (Stephen) Somogyi, Michael (Stephanie) Bosley, J. Andrew Bosley, Jacob (Jennifer) Harr, Adam Harr, Nicholas (Christine) Harr, Francesca Butchelle, Samuel Wetzel, Daniella Wetzel) and four great-grandchildren (Matthew Somogyi, Elizabeth & Ezekiel Bosley, Lily Harr). As well as her sister Pearl Clark of Scottsdale, AZ, John Morse of Spokane, WA and David (Delores) Morse of West Jefferson, OH.

She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Roberta & Gregory Butchelle and son-in-law Samuel Wetzel.

Ruth retired from her teaching career with Shenango School District where she taught various subjects and sponsored the Yearbook Club. She remained an active member of Ellwood City O.E.S #212 and was a past Worthy Matron and a member of Wimodosis Society in New Castle. She participated in many activities and worship services at the Moravia Presbyterian Church.

Ruth was an avid reader and Sudoku player and continued to enjoy sewing and quilting. To family and friends, Ruth will always be remembered for baking her Ruthie Rolls and her love of shopping.

Due to current travel restrictions and Covid-19, the family has decided to wait until Spring 2021 to have a Memorial Service to honor Ruth.
