Tony P. Guerrera, 77, of Ellwood Road, New Castle (Wayne Twp.) climbed the stairway to heaven into the open arms of his Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016.
Born Sept. 27, 1938 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Paul and Filomena Condell Guerrera. He was married for 56 and a half years to Irene Tolomeo Guerrera as they were married Sept. 12, 1959. She survives.
Tony graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1957. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox where he was a crane operator. He had formerly owned TP Enterprises and also the Majestic Theater in Ellwood City. He was a member of the Wing Nuts which is a branch of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was a former ham radio operator.
In addition to his wife, Irene, survivors include four daughters, Betsy (Scott) Court of Ellport, Karen (Mike) Lyons of Monaca, Terri (Keith) Cummings of New Brighton, Pam (Denny) Stich of Princeton; son, Paul (Lisa) Guerrera of Ellwood City; two sisters, Josephine (Charles) Bucker of New Castle, Margaret Kimmel of Ellwood City; brother, Sam (Carol) Guerrera of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren,Josh and Travis Court, Matthew and Sarah Lyons, Jessica (Evan) Ottaviani, Kris (Eryn) Main, Marissa (Curtis) Brake, Elsie Stich, Angelina Guerrera ; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Riley, Maddox Main, and Tyson Ottaviani.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home,200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends will also be received on Thursday from 1 until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. James Bibza of Center Presbyterian Church will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
