Both school districts will be featuring events this evening at their respective stadiums to help roll out the 2019-20 school year and be introduced to fall sports teams.
The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, August 22nd at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6:00 pm. and the show will begin at 7:00 p.m. Rain location is the LHS Gymnasium. Tickets are $3.00 and drinks and ice cream will be sold.
This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. All Blue Band members and fall sport team members will be announced.
Pie is limited first come first served and has been generously donated by Debbie’ Delicious Desserts.
All Proceeds benefit the LHS Marching Blue Band.
Riverside Panther Night community pep rally is scheduled for Thursday, August 22nd beginning at 6:00 pm. The rally is planned at the Riverside Football Stadium and is free to the public.
In addition to vendor booths, raffles, food, and fun, visitors will be introduced to Riverside fall sports teams – Youth football players, cheerleaders, varsity football players and varsity cheerleaders, boys and girls soccer, golf team, cross country team, girls tennis, RACE, Archery and the Riverside Marching Band.
Panther Night this year with be featuring a ‘Panther Pack’ school supply donation. Visitors to Panther Night can come and donate school supplies for kids in need. You can do anything from packing a backpack full of school supplies, or just bringing a few items, anything makes a difference to a kid in need this school year.
