Caesar W. Craine, 86

Caesar W. Craine, 86, of Ellwood City was called home Thursday, March 7, 2019 from the Ellwood City Medical Center.

Born August 3, 1932 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Wyatt Craine and Era Craine Allen. He was also preceded in death by his step son in law, Leonard Hill; a brother, Coy Allen, and four sisters, Dorothy Etta Daniels, Iona Bernard, Helen Elizabeth Craine, and Sarah Lee Eady.

Caesar was married to Ruby McDonald Craine for 45 years as they were married November 22, 1973. She survives.

Caesar graduated from Wampum High School in 1951. He served 4 years in the US Air Force. Caesar retired from the B&W in 1985 where he was a crane operator. He also worked in the maintenance department at Hillview Manor for 14 years. He was an active member and Deacon Emeritus of the First Baptist Church in Chewton. He was also a former Deacon at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Beaver Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby, one son, James Lowery of New Brighton; step daughter, Denise M. Hill of Ellwood City; three brothers, Harold Allen of Maryland, Richard Allen of Florida, Ronald Allen of Youngstown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jaerhyn, Keisha, and Michael Lowery; and two great grandchildren, Jekier and Khylen Edwards. He is also survived by his god children, Lymara Allen and Timmy Conkle, Ernest Johnson who was like a brother to him, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 11, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton on Tuesday at 12 noon with his pastor, Rev. Eric Board officiating. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
