John W. Crees, 74

John W. “Bill” Crees, 74, of Big Beaver Boro, went home suddenly to be with his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with his loving wife of 42 years, Donna by his side.

Born December 27, 1944 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late John O. and Ruth V. Murphy Crees.

Bill retired from Armstrong World Industries. He also enjoyed working on his family farm. He was an active member of the Christian Assembly Church in Ohioville where he taught the Victorious Living Class and was a Prayer Partner. Bill had also formerly taught Sunday School at the First Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed Bible Study and taught at his home for many years. He also did prison ministry for 14 years. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren, but his most precious time was spent in God’s word.

In addition to his wife, Donna, survivors include three daughters, Nevada Kimberly (Bern) Russell, Lisa (Warren) Clark, Kimberly Swogger; son, Douglas Crees; four brothers, Bob (Tina) Crees, Larry (Elena) Crees, Bruce (Sherry) Crees, James (Patty) Crees; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Shoop and a brother, Gary Crees.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday January 26 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Pastor Bill Anzevino will officiate. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
