Jane M. Hamilton Jackson, 93, of North Sewickley, formerly of New Galilee and Beaver Falls, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Dec. 17, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, surrounded by her family.
She was born to the late Floyd S. and Mary E. McCaughtry Hamilton on Jan. 30, 1922, in Chippewa Township.
She graduated from Darlington High School in 1939 and attended The Missionary Training Institute, Nyack, N.Y., graduating in 1948. She went on to earn a B. Elem. Ed. from Geneva College in 1952, followed by a M. Ed. From Westminster College in 1967.
She had a long career in the Christian & Missionary Alliance, beginning in 1953 as a teacher to other missionaries’ children in Gabon, then in Guinea, both in Africa, finishing her teaching career in Malaysia. She later worked at the denomination’s headquarters in New York City, then served at the Carlisle Home in Carlisle, Pa. She and her husband returned home to attend to her parents in their last years. She was a member of the Marion Hill Alliance Church, where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Homer J. Jackson, whom she married on March 29, 1975, and who went to his rest on March 24, 2005. A sister, Helen R. Edwards, and a brother James R. Hamilton also predeceased her, in 2003 and 2009, respectively.
She is survived by two brothers, John W. Hamilton, and Paul C. Hamilton, four sisters, Martha J. Black, Mary Lou Black, Mildred G. Steinecke and Alice D. Thompson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, Dec. 19, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum, followed by the service at 4 with her pastor, the Rev. James Krouse officiating. Interment will be in the Clinton Cemetery, Wampum, next to her husband and her parents.

The family would like to express thanks to those who so kindly cared for her at Blair Home, Heritage Valley Beaver and Good Samaritan Hospice during the last months of her life.
