Local Student Graduates From Mortuary Institute

Ms. Carmella Marie Teolis recently graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

She is the daughter of Samuel A. and Michele Teolis, granddaughter of Samuel Teolis and Don and Toni Rutter. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2014, after which she attended the Butler County Community College for one year. After BC3, Carmella graduated from the Pittsburgh Technical College with high honors earning a degree in Applied Sciences and Office Administration along with becoming a certified Professional Medical Coder.

On January 9, 2015, Carmella received her Certified Crematory Operator Certification.

In September of 2017, Carmella enrolled into the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, which she graduated from on September 7, 2018 with status of “Magna Cum Laude”.

Carmella received the Champion Chemical Company Award for Excellence in Science Academics and earned her certification as a Life Celebrant.

She will now be serving as Resident Intern alongside her father and grandfather at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
