The Ellwood-Wampum Rod and Gun Club in Wayne Township held a turkey shoot on Tuesday, September 4.
The turkey shoot winners were Tom O’Brien, Paul H. Redmond, Larry Baker, and Aaron Kelly. Kelly was a double winner, and Jim Spielvogel won the door prize.
Due to Tuesday turkey shoots, trap shoots have been moved to Thursdays. Sign-ups for both trap and turkey shoots begin at 6 p.m. Trap shoot participants should bring extra protection as well as a box of 25 count shells and $3 for each round they plan on shooting in.
The rifle range will be closed until further notice because of fallen trees and the water covering the road.
The annual election of officers and directors will be held on November 12 at 7 p.m. Current members will be able to vote at this meeting.
