Donald Cooper, 81

Donald Cooper, 81, of Volpes Way, Ellwood City (Wayne Twp.) passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born September 27, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Millard Cooper and the late Emma Tritt Cooper LeFever . He was married to Charlotte Hogue Cooper who survives.

Don retired as a millwright in 2000 following 35 years of service at the Ellwood City Forge. Following his retirement, he repaired small engines and lawnmowers. He was a member of the Ellwood City Moose and Eagles Clubs. Don enjoyed mowing the lawn.

In addition to his wife, Charlotte, survivors include three daughters, Barbara Shira of New Castle, Karin (Merle) Redmond of Wampum, Amy Freed of Marietta, Ohio; son, Robert (Becky Boydd) Cooper of Portersville; two sisters, Wilma Coon of Michigan, Wanda Taylor of California; three brothers, Ronald D. LeFever Sr. of Fombell, Wade Cooper of New Castle, Kenneth (Faith) Cooper of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jamie (Gerald Jr.) Anthony, John Edinger Jr., Michael Edinger, and Paul Shira; and three great grandchildren, Antonio and Donovan Anthony and Arabella Edinger.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard and Irvan Cooper .

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 29 from 2 pm until the time of the funeral service at 5 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
