Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 13 at 5p.m. at Pizza Joe’s. President Clemmy Sirimarco hosted a pizza luncheon served by Trustee Pudue LaCava, Secretary Jackie Perno, Guard Lous DiFrischia and Historian Mary Jane Folino. Trustee Patty Regna voiced the invocation and remembered all people affected by the recent hurricanes. Birthday wishes were extended to Treasurer Louise Vitullo for her September birthday. Perspective new member, Margaret Cancelli was welcomed by the members.
Sirimarco conducted the business session that followed. Treasurer Vitullo gave the financial reports and noted that 2018 scholarship applications will be available soon. Secretarial reports and correspondences were presented by Perno. Updating the current member lsit she reqiests being advised of any information chance, such as address, phone number or contact names. Orator Valerie Valentino distributed candy favors to each member. She reported on the finalizing of plans for the 100th Anniversary and named Delegate Esther Santilo, Folino and Cancelli to the reception committee. The Lodge colors of red and gold will be in the theme of the event.
Sirimarco led discussion for the upcoming Columbus Day Dinner. The date will be Saturday, October 7 at 1p.m. at the Wolverines Restaurant. Reservations are required and must be made by contacting Vitullo no later than September 30. Dinner choices will be stuffed pork chop or stuffed chicken breast with sides.
A social conducted by Valentino and Emcee Mary Quintanilla concluded the session.
