Billy Lott will take his second trip to the PIAA cross country state championships at Hershey Park.
The Ellwood City junior finished 17th overall in the WPIAL championship on Thursday with a time of 17:50. Lott, who also qualified for states his sophomore year, missed part of the season, including the Tri-County Invitation, due to a back injury and subsequently had less time to prepare for the WPIALs.
Lott will be one of 20 Class AA WPIAL runners to participate in the PIAA championship at Hershey this Saturday, November 7.
