David J. Nocera, 58, of North Tower Rd., Fombell (Franklin Twp.) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2017 at his residence due to a ruptured aneurysm.
Born March 18, 1959 in Ellwood City, he was the son of Joseph Nocera of Ellwood City and the late Katie Pistacchio Nocera. He was married on November 27, 1993 to Julie Householder Nocera who survives.
Dave graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977. He furthered his education, graduating from Penn State in 1982 with a Degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for Lincoln Fabricating in Pittsburgh for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing volleyball, bowling, and basketball. Dave was an avid sports fan, always rooting for his alma mater, Penn State and all the Pittsburgh Sports Teams.
In addition to his wife, Julie and father, Joe, survivors include a son, Thadeus Nocera at home; two sisters, Kathy (Merel) MacDonald of Ellwood City, Susan (Jeff) Taylor of New Castle; brother, Mike (Julie A.) Nocera of Frisco; and father in law, Ted Householder of Fombell. He will also be missed by his dog and buddy, Smokey.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie and his mother in law, Sally Householder.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends and family will also be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 until the time of the blessing service at 11. Rev. Father Mark Thomas will officiate.
