HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) took the oath of office Tuesday, marking the beginning of his first term representing the 10th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
“I am deeply grateful to the people of the district for giving me their confidence to represent their interests and concerns in Harrisburg, and I am honored to begin this work in earnest,” said Bernstine. “This session begins with very serious challenges and I am ready to work hard to meet the expectations of the residents of the district.”
Prior to running for state representative, Bernstine divided his professional time between his work for ADP in the field of human capital management, his small businesses, and the 107-acre farm where his family raises livestock.

The freshman lawmaker said the economy and jobs are his top priorities going into the new session, but there are other issues that must be faced as well, including the upcoming state budget.
“My message has been clear from day one; I will stand up for the citizens of the 10th District who cannot afford tax increases of any kind,” he emphasized.
Bernstine has already begun to work with his colleagues, community leaders and others to develop thoughtful initiatives.
“I ran for this office with three simple ideas in mind: control spending, make government more accountable to taxpayers and grow the economy by bringing jobs to the 10th District,” said Bernstine. “Though I have been working on these missions and many others since my election in November, today’s event forwards this vision. I am prepared to hit the ground running when we return to the House floor later this month.”
