TERRORISTIC THREATS:
Lorenzo Wells, 57, of Wayne Township, is charged with Simple Assault and Terroristic Threats after an incident on March 2nd. According to a criminal complaint, after a domestic dispute Wells threw a 58-year-old female victim to the ground, soaked her in gasoline, and threatened to set her on fire. The report relates that Wells screamed Greenwalt’s cancer medication had been making her “crazy” just before he allegedly doused her with gasoline and shouted that he was going to “burn her up.” The victim managed to get out of the house and call 911 but Wells left before police arrived but was later taken into custody. State police say the case remains under investigation.
POSESSION:
Charles Shutack, 53, of Darlington is charged with Possession after a traffic stop occurring on January 16th at 10:50 a.m. Police made contact with Shutack and his passenger, Miles, officers observed the smell of burnt marijuana. After a consented search of the vehicle, officers found marijuana and several other controlled substances which were seized according to a criminal complaint.
THEFT:
Colleen Odonnell, 40, of Sharon is charged with theft after a report made on January 19th at approximately 1:13 p.m. Officers were advised that the total value of the stolen items were $250.00. Officers were able to identify the suspects based on video surveillance from several locations where the victims credit/debit cards were attempted to be used according to a criminal complaint.
THEFT:
Kimberly Cerimele, 71, of Youngstown is charged with theft after an argument occurring on February 27th at approximately 4:02 p.m. Officers were advised that Cerimele refused to pay her veterinary bill totaling $399.50 due to a disagreement with staff. Staff advised police that Cerimele was no longer permitted to return to the business, and that Cerimele would need to coordinate payment through the EDCP according to a criminal complaint.
DUI:
Shawn Macri, 55, of Wampum is charged with DUI after a traffic stop. After officers made contact with Macri, they requested he preform the Standard Field Sobriety Tests, to which he refused. Officers transferred Macri to the ECPD and placed in a cell after Macri failed to provide a phone number for someone to pick him up according to a criminal complaint.
DUI:
Paul Mcconahy, 64, of Ellwood City is charged with DUI after a report of a man asleep at the wheel with the car running and in drive on January 30th at approximately 1:07 p.m. Officers made contact with Mcconahy and observed him to be heavily intoxicated. Policed requested he preform Standard Field Sobriety Tests to which he refused due to having neuropathy, being deaf in one ear and not being able to see due to a lens in his glasses missing. He was transported to a nearby hospital for blood draw according to a criminal complaint.
DUI:
Maranda Bookamer, 39, of New Castle is charged with DUI after a traffic stop occurring on January 3rd at approximately 11:46 p.m. When officers made contact with Bookamer they observed odd behavior and asked consent to search the vehicle. Police found heroin, and asked Bookamer to preform the Standard Field Sobriety Tests to which she refused according to a criminal complaint.
DRIVING W/ SUSPENDED OR REVOKED LICENSE:
Dondi Lawson, 33, of New Castle is charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license after a traffic stop occurring on February 14th at approximately 2:50 p.m. Officers made contact with Lawson and informed him of his suspended license and that he would be receiving paperwork for traffic violations according to a criminal complaint.
FEDERAL DRUG & FIREARM CHARGES:
Chad Antoine Lindsay, 35, of New Brighton, pleaded guilty to one-count of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, in the form commonly known as crack; a quantity of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine; and a quantity of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl. Lindsay also pled guilty to one-count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of that drug trafficking crime, before United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand.
According to admissions made during Lindsay’s plea hearing, on June 17, 2025, a resident of New Brighton, Pennsylvania called 911 related to Lindsay damaging her home. The caller reported that Lindsay deals drugs and that he was moving the drugs out of the house into his vehicle. Authorities attempted a traffic stop of Lindsay as he drove his vehicle shortly after it departed the 911 caller’s residence. Lindsay fled in the vehicle before crashing. A search warrant executed upon the vehicle resulted in the seizure of two loaded handguns, over 40-rounds of ammunition, two cellular phones, drug packaging material, over $4,000, about 43 grams of cocaine base, in the form commonly known as crack, about 343 grams of cocaine, and about 10 grams of fentanyl. Following the search, authorities determined that one of the handguns recovered from Lindsay’s vehicle was reported stolen. At the time Lindsay possessed the loaded handguns, he had previously been convicted of eight (8) felonies. Under federal law, felons are prohibited from the possession of firearms and ammunition.
Judge Wiegand scheduled sentencing for June 23, 2026. The maximum penalty for the drug trafficking crime committed on June 3, 2022, is a term of imprisonment of at least ten (10) years and a maximum of life, as well as a $10,000,000 fine. The maximum penalty for possessing a firearm in furtherance of that drug trafficking crime is a term of imprisonment of at least five (5) years and a maximum of life, which must be served consecutively to the sentence imposed on the drug trafficking crime. There is also a maximum fine of $250,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
