The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
HOURS
Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.
Activities taking place this week include.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2
- 10:30 a.m.- “Music and Movement,” a program for kids to sing, play instruments and dance.
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 1:30 p.m. – “Preschool Storytime,” a program for preschool aged children to interact and listen to stories.
- 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Club,” snacks and activities for grades 5-12.
- 6:00 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “The Personal Librarian,” by Marie Benedict.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own material or use the libraries.
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” Come and socialize while you work on a project.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7
- It is Bring Your Child to the Library Day!
- 9:00 a.m. – “Reading Buddies,” read to the dogs.
- 9:30 a.m. – “Little Librarians,” Kindergarten through second grade, come and learn what is means to work in a Library.
- 10:30 a.m. – “Pokemon Club,” Kindergarten through 8th grade, make Pokemon crafts, learn about Pokemon from a fellow collector, battle and trade cards.
- 11:45 a.m. – “Choose Your Own Book Club,” 7th – 12th grade. Pick your own book to read then do planned activities while eating a snack.
- 1:45 p.m. – “Teen Cooking Club,” 7th – 12th grade. Learn to make easy snacks and meals.
- 2:30 p.m. – “Books, Thoughts, and Snacks,” “Teen” Book group where they get to pick their own books then complete book journaling while eating snacks.
