Spring cleaning is soon approaching, which means it’s the perfect time to DE-STASH your craft supplies. What a great way to get your unused craft supplies into the hands of a maker who will enjoy creating something new!
Lillyville Church of God is set to host its 2nd Annual Arts & Scraps Marketplace on Saturday February 7th.
Over twenty vendors and will showcase at least 27 tables of craft supplies available for shoppers according to Michelle Gibbs.
“The true magic of the Arts & Scraps Marketplace event is the ability to unite crafters through their shared passions. Crafters love to craft. Sometimes we find projects we love, and other times we find projects we never want to do again. Rather than throwing unused supplies into the local landfill, crafters embrace the recycle reuse mindset.”
Vendors pay a fee, which is a donation to the church, and can expect to recoup some money spent on supplies they no longer use. Buyers can expect bargains to supplement their current craft craze, and finding budget-friendly craft supplies allows a maker to experiment with something new.
“We will have a small Chinese auction of donated gifts. All funds raised from the auction and table fees will be used for much-needed renovations of our picnic shelter kitchen and bathroom,” adds Gibbs.
The marketplace still has room for a few more vendors.
“We had such a great turnout of both sellers and shoppers last year that we added some light lunch items so everyone can make a day of it. Sales from the food offered will benefit the food pantry at Lillyville Church of God. Come on out, grab a lunch and enjoy a great day of searching for the perfect new-to-you arts and crafts project!”
