Safety Tips for Trick-or-Treat Night:

  • Wear reflective clothing or carry a flashlight to stay visible.
  • Stick to sidewalks and cross only at corners or crosswalks.
  • Visit homes with porch lights on and never enter a stranger’s home.
  • Parents should inspect all candy before it’s eaten.

Mayor Court had initially announced at Monday’s Borough Council meeting that if Ellwood City’s football team makes the playoffs in either a home or away game, the originally scheduled trick or treat date/time would be moved.
