The Borough of Ellwood City has launched its Community Food Drive to benefit Divine Grace Ministerium Social Services and Food Bank.
“For the past several years, the community has rallied to help our neighbors through the Community Food Drive. It’s my hope that we will be able to help the food bank provide meals for the holiday season to anyone in need,” said Borough Manager, Kevin Swogger. “We have more businesses sponsoring donation boxes than ever before!”
The borough has donation boxes located at the businesses listed below.
The following businesses are hosting drop boxes:
- McElwain Motor Car Company
- First United Methodist Church
- Primary Health Network
- Posies by Patti
- Teolis Funeral Home
- New Dimension Comics
- Air Physical Therapy
- The Moose Club
- Dave’s Shop and Save
- The Color Center
- Leaps and Bounds Gymnastics Co.
- Love Hope Baptist Church
Boxes are also located in the lobby of the Municipal Building. People may also leave their donation in the Share The Harvest box located at the Community Garden.
Medevac Ambulance has also offered to do “Stuff an Ambulance” at fall fest this coming weekend.
The ambulance will be located in front of the Chamber Building on Lawrence Avenue during the annual Fall Fest being held on Saturday, September 27th
“The ‘Stuff an Ambulance’ campaign sponsored by Medevac Ambulance is a wonderful addition to the food drive,” says Swogger.
