The start of fall sports is upon us, so we took the opportunity catch up with the athletes of those teams to see what they are doing to prepare for the upcoming rivalries and to offer some perspective on the season ahead and their plans for the future.

How many years have you have participated? 7years
What do you feel is your biggest strength? Offensive line
What is your favorite part of it? Being able to compete every week
Who do you feel is your biggest rivalry this upcoming season? Ellwood City
What has been your favorite memory been over the years? Winning the playoff game against OLSH
What is one thing that you have learned through your participation in sports that will carry with you through your life? One thing I’ve learned is about being dedicated and not giving up
What are your future plans after graduation? After high school go to a 4 year college
Do you plan to continue to play sports after high school? I would like to continue to play football after high school.
Hunter Garcia
School you attend? Riverside

Grade? 12th grade
How many years have you have participated? I played 13 years
What do you feel is your biggest strength? I feel like my biggest strength is my speed
What is your favorite part of it? My favorite part of it is juking kids
Who do you feel is your biggest rivalry this upcoming season? I feel like my biggest rivalry is Ellwood
What has been your favorite memory been over the years? My favorite memory is beating olsh in the playoff game
What is one thing that you have learned through your participation in sports that will carry with you through your life? One thing that I learned is discipline and I will always forever use that
What are your future plans after graduation? My future plans are going to the electrical union or steam fitters
Joe Chill
School you attend? Football
Sport? Football
Grade? Senior
How many years have you have participated? 5 years
What do you feel is your biggest strength? My biggest strength is my hands
What is your favorite part of it? My favorite part is the town being there on Friday nights to watch us play and doing it with all my friends
Who do you feel is your biggest rivalry this upcoming season? Ellwood City is our biggest rivalry
What has been your favorite memory been over the years? My favorite memory is the new Brighton game scoring 3 touchdowns last year
What is one thing that you have learned through your participation in sports that will carry with you through your life? I have learned leadership and discipline and those two are important to me
What are your future plans after graduation? I plan on attending either Robert Morris or Slippery Rock for business
Do you plan to continue to play sports after high school? I will not be playing sports after high school
