All Aboard Ellwood Reaches 75% of $1 Million Fundraising Goal for Industrial and Railroad Museum

Ellwood City – All Aboard Ellwood Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Ellwood City’s industrial and railroad heritage, is proud to announce it has reached 75% of its $1,000,000 fundraising goal. This achievement marks a major milestone in Phase 3 of the group’s project to build an Industrial and Railroad Museum in downtown Ellwood City.

Fueled by strong community support—including a recent commitment of ongoing support from the local McDonald’s restaurant, Amerikohl , and a grant from the May Emma Hoyt Foundation — along with generous memorial and honorary donations, local contributions, and regional enthusiasm, the campaign continues to gain momentum as All Aboard Ellwood works to bring this long-envisioned landmark to life.

A Museum Rooted in Local History:

The proposed museum will be modeled after the town’s original train station, which once served as a symbol of Ellwood City’s role in the rise of American industry. Once completed, the museum will include:

• Interactive Exhibits that explore the evolution of railroad technology and industrial innovation
• Historical Artifacts celebrating the town’s rich manufacturing and railroading past
• Educational Programming for students, families, and lifelong learners
• Community Events that highlight local stories and foster civic pride
