Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of May 12th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

NOTE

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, MAY 12

  • 10:30 a.m. – “Music and Movement Program,” a program for our young patrons to sing and play instruments.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:30 p.m. – “Afternoon Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “Hidden Pictures” by Jason Rekulak.
  • 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Program,” snacks, crafts and games for 5th grade and up.

TUESDAY, MAY 13

  • Second Grade Community Day! Second graders from Ellwood and Riverside will come and visit us at the library.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Library of the Dead” by Tendai Huchu on zoom.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 14

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

THURSDAY, May 15

  • 10:30 – 12:30 p.m. – “Adult Card Club” bring your own games or use what we have. We supply the coffee, tea, and water.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:30 p.m. – “Classics Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Love in the Time of Cholera” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

FRIDAY, May 16

  • 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. – “Adult Coloring,” come and socialize while you color on your own material or ours.
  • 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” bring your own project and come and get ideas from other knitters.

SATURDAY, MAY 17

  • 10:00 a.m. – “Touch a Truck,” an event for children to interact and learn about the different trucks and cars that service our area. There will also be food vendors.
