Janet Elizabeth Hall, 82

Janet Elizabeth Hall, 82, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at The Grove at Harmony following a lengthy illness.

Born on August 17, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Clara Lostetter Warren. She was blessed to share 55 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, William E. Hall, until his passing on May 4, 2024.

Janet was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and selfless love. A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church, where her faith guided her every action. She was known for her warm heart, her gentle spirit, and her willingness to help anyone in need. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she devoted her life to ensuring their happiness and well-being.

After graduating from high school, Janet moved to Arizona, where she began a career in banking. She later retired from First Commonwealth Bank in New Castle after 21 years of dedicated service. Her work ethic and dedication extended beyond banking, as she also played an integral role in running Porter’s Flower Shop in Ellwood City. Above all, Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother, always placing her children at the center of her world.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Hall of Ellwood City; three sons, Eric Hall of Pittsburgh, Mark (Aunika) Hall of Ellwood City, and Mike (Dena) Hall of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Amanda, Lacee, Clayton, Addie, Bethany, and Warren Hall; and a great-granddaughter, Kourtlynn Hall. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Joanne Warren of Cranberry and Judy Hanson of Inver Grove, Minnesota, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved brother, James Warren, and brothers-in-law Ron Hanson and Robert Hall.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church, on April 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. with Father Dan Kushner officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
