POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

HARASSMENT:
On February 2nd at approximately 12:03 a.m. police responded to a report of physical altercation at a local bar in Koppel Borough. Police learned that the suspect left, and later returned to the scene to speak to police. Investigation is ongoing according to a criminal complaint.

HARASSMENT:
Matthew Summerville, 38, of Ellwood City is charged with harassment after an incident on February 2nd. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 1:11 a.m., police responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence on Wampum Avenue, Ellwood City. When police arrived on scene they made contact with the victim who told police that Summerville and herself got into an argument and Summerville began to get physical with her. Summerville was then placed under arrest and transported to ECDP according to the complaint.

POSESSION/INTENT TO SELL:
Sally Dillaman, 40, of Harmony, is charged with Possession after a trespassing warning was administered to her in Ewing Park on September 29th at approximately 2:06 a.m. According to a criminal complaint, an officer noticed a vehicle parked near the Ewing Park basketball courts with two passengers inside. Neither passenger reacted to the officer until he made a loud noise which woke Dillaman. When the officer made contact and spoke to Dillaman, he noticed paraphernalia and narcotics on the floor of the vehicle, and when he asked about it Dillaman attempted to destroy/conceal the items. The officer then placed Dillaman and the passenger in custody and seized the vehicle. The officer one scene then provided a ride to both passengers to a friends house for a sober party. After weighing and seizing the narcotics and paraphernalia, police charge Dillaman with possession due to neither party admitting to owning the items, leaving it to location of the items being at the feet of Dillaman according to the complaint.

POSSESSION:
Andrew Largent, 43, of Ellwood City, is charged with Possession after a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of a truck sitting on the roadway. According to a criminal complaint, police made contact with Largent, who was located in the area of State Avenue near Florence Street, and who only woke once his front passenger side window was smashed by officers. Largent was disoriented and when he exited the vehicle a baggie of narcotics fell from his lap. Largent was placed into custody and charged according to the complaint.

DUI:
Joseph Lyle, 30, of Ellwood City, is charged with DUI after a crash on December 4th at approximately 3:03 a.m. Police were dispatched to a head on collision on Fountain Avenue and EMS was called to the scene. Both parties were evaluated and Lyle, who admitted just leaving a local bar, was found to have empty beer bottles in the rear of his vehicle. Both parties were transported to a nearby hospital. After Lyle’s blood tests results came back, police charged Lyle according to a criminal complaint.

DUI:
Darren Rowlands, 40, of Ellwood City, is charged with DUI after a crash that took place on Portersville Road near Van Gorder Mill Road on November 25th at approximately 4:49 p.m. Police contacted Rowlands who smelled of alcohol and the police asked how many he had. Rowlands stated that he had a few, and the interview was cut short so that EMS could treat him according to a criminal complaint.
