The Ellwood Area Family Center will be hosting a youth golf program beginning in late February.
The golf program will be held at the Ellwood Area Family Center on the North Side of Ellwood City on Tuesday evenings beginning on February 18th. The clinic will run four five consecutive Tuesdays and will be available for ages 9, 10 and 11.
Retired physical education teacher Jeff Fotia will showcase his golf teaching skills.
“The upcoming golf program is for players that are just starting out or that are experienced in the game,” says Family Center Director, John DiBuono. “A perfect program before spring.”
The fundamentals of golf will be taught throughout the sessions according to DiBuono. Proper grip, stance, technique and hitting different types of shots will be the highlights of the program.
Each weekly session will be one hour in length beginning at 4:30 p.m. Attendees can bring clubs if you have them. Additional clubs will be provided if you do not have your own.
“As any golfer knows, you must be consistent in your shots to become a good golfer,” adds DiBuono.
The cost for the program is $45.00 per applicant. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
Due date for registration is February 14, 2025.
Due to the facility size, there will be a cut-off after the first 15 applicants in the session. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience but space is limited at the indoor facility.
