Timothy Slavic, 72, of Ellwood City, PA passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA. with his loving wife Billie by his side. He was the son of the late Louis and Josephine (Scrivo) Slavic and was born April 20th, 1952, in Ellwood City.
Tim was a 1970 graduate of Lawrence County Vocational High School in New Castle, PA. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and was a Radarman. He married the love of his life, Billie Jo (Grannis) on January 26th, 1991, and the two enjoyed going to church together, watching tv, walking the local tracks, and spending time with family. Tim had a passion for running and completed in 48 marathons, and many races across the country and continued in this passion in the years after his last marathon by taking long, daily walks. Throughout his life, Tim carved a path marked by hard work and dedication. His career as a professional truck driver spanned many years and even during retirement he worked for Ellwood City Transit. His faith, family, and love for music and reading were his biggest passions along with running/walking.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Billie Jo Slavic, his two sisters Cheryl (Ron) Dunlap of New Castle, PA and Diane (Hugh) Clements of Ellwood City, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on the family from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, with Funeral Service immediately following at Turner-Hyde Funeral Home
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City.
