Kathleen (Syphrit) Martin, age 65, passed away on May 19, 2024, after a very brief illness. She was born December 24, 1958, in Ellwood City, PA to Theodore & Lois (Dawson) Syphrit. Tad Biddle Myers passed away on June 13, 2024, in his apartment, with his beloved black cat, Lucy, by his side. Tad was born on October 30, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio. His parents were Joseph and Virginia Myers. His precious Daddy, Roger B. Goodwin, passed away when Tad was a little boy. Vogel Announces $1.3 Million in PHARE Funding for Beaver and Lawrence Counties

It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen Ann Clark announce her passing on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the age of 73 years. She was at home in Magnolia, TX with her beloved husband Michael. Kathy was born on June 30, 1950 in Ellwood City, PA. to Eugene Leroy and Mary Flanagan Stiefel. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City in 1968. 4th Annual Dog Days Of Summer Returns Next Weekend

Woof, woof! The fourth annual Reed’s Services Dog Days of Summer event will take place next weekend in Ewing Park. The multi-day event is scheduled to take place 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23rd. The Ellwood City Public Library is sponsoring a Victorian Tea on Saturday, June 22nd at Calvin Presbyterian Church The event is scheduled to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Ellwood City Sports Physicals To Be Held On June 13th

According to information made available by the district, Ellwood City Sports Physicals for the 2024-25 school year will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the High School Nurse’s office. Any student in grades 7-12 that are interested must pre-register in the Principal’s office by Wednesday. Forms must be completed and payment must be made before an appointment time is given. Cost of the Physical is $20.00.  This is the only date that physicals will be offered by the school. Route 65 Culvert Replacement Begins Monday in North Sewickley

PennDOT has announced culvert replacement work requiring a long-term closure of a portion of Route 65 (Mercer Road) in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County will begin Monday, June 10 weather permitting. Culvert replacement work will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday on Route 65 between Bologne Valley Road and Oakland Drive.
