Bottom Of Lineup Carries Riverside Past South Park In WPIAL Quarterfinals

The bottom of the lineup helped Riverside cruise to a 11-1 mercy rule victory over South Park in the WPIAL Class 3A Quarterfinals on Monday at Neshannock High School. Sam Barber, Sean Hayes, and Christian Lucarelli combined for six of the Panthers’ 10 hits in the victory. The trio combined for three RBIs and two runs scored. Lucarelli also earned the victory on the mound for Riverside, going the full five innings, allowing one earned run and striking out seven batters.  He walked four and allowed only two hits. Myron Dellinger, 72

Myron Dellinger, 72, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside. Born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on July 19, 1951, Myron was the son of the late Bernice J. Dellinger and Dorothy L. James Charles “Charlie” Leslie, 86, of Wampum passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 17, 2024 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Born May 14, 1938 in New Castle, he was the son of the late William B. and Florence A. Youkers Leslie. He was married to Loretta E. Joyce M. Bender (Simoff), 82, of East Palestine, OH passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Elyria, Ohio on Monday, May 17, 2024. She was born in Ellwood City, Pa. on February 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Boris and Mary Simoff. Mr. Carl R. “Duke” Campbell, 87, of Park Gate passed away on Friday, May 17th, 2024 at his residence with his loving family at his bedside. Mr. Campbell was born in Ellwood City to the late Lemont and Elizabeth (Burr) Campbell on June 14th, 1936. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954. Tenaris To Adjust Workforce At Its Facilities In PA & OH, Koppel Shop Not Affected

Houston, TX – Tenaris has announced it will be reducing its workforce at its facilities in Pennsylvania and Ohio due to an influx of imports of OCTG into the United States. Approximately 170 employees at the company’s facilities in these two states will be impacted by the layoffs. The steel shop in Koppel, Pennsylvania, is not affected. Imports of OCTG account for nearly half the U.S. market demand. These imports are mainly manufactured in China and shipped through countries such as Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan, and are being brought into the States and sold at less than fair market value….
