POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

ASSAULT: On July 23rd at approximately 8:09 a.m. police were called due to a report of domestic abuse between a male and female at a residence on State Line Road, Little Beaver Township. The caller advised police that the female told him she was struck with a gun by her boyfriend, Denis Lozinsky. According to a criminal complaint police arrived on scene and had concluded that the victim was no longer inside the residence. Officers attempted to hail Lozinskiy before making entry. It is reported that Lozinskiy then used the weapon to end his life as police entered the residence….

Lawrence County Awarded Municipal Waste Planning Grant

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) is pleased to announce Lawrence County has been awarded a $72,675 Municipal Waste Planning Grant by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Mr. Lee A. Nocera, 80, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 at his residence. Lee was born on April 12th, 1944 in Ellwood City, to the late John and Jessie (Perrotta) Nocera. Lee graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. After business school, Lee began working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC, working in the printing department. Keller Crowned Champion Of 64th Annual Delmar Golf Course Club Championship

The 64th Annual Delmar Golf Course Club Championship was held August 10th and August 11th, 2024. This season’s championship field was comprised of 62 members of Delmar Golf Course. Ellwood City golf team junior and co-captain, Jordan Keller outlasted the field to be crowned the champion golfer of the year with a two stroke play total of 141 (-3).
